The objective of the Conference, organized within the period 11th-13th October 2021, was oriented onto a presentation of both the latest scientific, research and technical achievements in the domain of the state-of-the-art mining industry, with particular attention paid to the issues of occupational health in the scope of using innovative techniques and technologies as well as green solutions to the used in practice by business representatives and citizens of Silesia.

During the three days of the Conference, which gathered nearly 200 participants, including a group of practical users and theoretical specialists from the domain of power engineering, there were many interesting events – 2 discussion panels on challenges and chances of Green Silesia and on using Energy Clusters for a reclamation of post-mining areas, 8 thematic sessions, 53 papers, the workshops on renewable energy sources in the mining industry, the workshops on efficient meetings between representatives of science and industry. All those events attracted a big interest of the Conference participants.

The Conference was a joint undertaking of the KOMAG Institute of Mining Technology, The company for Restructuring of Mines, J.S.S. and the Katowice Special Economic Zone, J.S.C. It was supported by the National Chamber of Energy Clusters as regards the thematic scope. It obtained the Honorary Patronage of the Minister of State Assets, the Marshall of the Silesian Voivodship and the Chairman of the State Mining Industry.
